JAN-LENNARD STRUFF VS QUENTIN HALYS PREDICTION

Jan-Lennard Struff and Quentin Halys meet in the first semi-final on Saturday in Gstaad with both desperate for a spot in Sunday’s final against either Stefanos Tsitsipas or Matteo Berrettini. Struff will take confidence from the fact that he beat Halys in their only previous meeting but he will know he will need to improve on his quarter-final display.

He beat Tomas Etcheverry in three sets but he was frustrated to have served eight double faults which could have cost him dearly. He still managed to win 80% in his first serve however but he will need to brush up some areas of his game here.

Halys had a fantastic week at Wimbledon which was somewhat unexpected as he made the third round on the grass surface that he has not had much success on. He has played reasonably well so far this week but Struff will pose his toughest test of the week. This really is a match that could go either way but marginal preference goes to Struff.
