The former world number three reached the semi-finals here in 2014 in one of three last four appearances at Grand Slams over the years but he has failed to win a title since his most prestigious of eight claimed at the ATP Finals in 2017. World number 102 Ilya Ivashka has endured a poor season so far but he looked to play himself into a better level in the first round, coming back from a set down to clay specialist Federico Coria to close out with a fourth-set bagel. The Belarussian set his best Grand Slam run with a round of 16 exit here in 2021 and he is well capable of the upset here with a 2-1 lead over Dimitrov, who peaks and troughs more than most, in their head-to-head. 32-year-old Dimitrov brings better form into Wimbledon than he has for many seasons but it is always difficult to confidently back the Bulgarian.
