IGA SWIATEK VS YULIA PUTINTSEVA PREDICTION

Iga Swiatek has had two comfortable straight set wins this week already and she will be confident of doing the same once again in the third round against Yulia Putintseva. She was incredibly efficient against Petra Martic on Thursday taking two of the three break points she created to win 6-4 6-3. Ruthless was the name of the game as she didn’t concede a single break point herself and was so controlled in her play.

Swiatek now faces Putintseva and has previously played her four times, including two in 2024. All four have resulted in straight set wins for Swiatek and she has only lost 22 games across those eight sets. That is ominous for Putintseva and it is hard to make a case for her at all here. She has played some decent tennis this week but not at Swiatek’s level and another straight sets defeat is on the cards.
