HUBERT HURKACZ VS FRANCES TIAFOE PREDICTION
Hubert Hurkacz and Frances Tiafoe are familiar foes having met six times on the ATP Tour and the pair have each won three of those matches each.
Hurkacz has come through two tough three-setters against Yoshihito Nishioka and then Flavio Cobolli yesterday and that will give him confidence. He still does not look completely fit or pain-free but he is producing and that is the key for the big Pole right now.
He meets Tiafoe whose confidence will be high after beating the returning Jiri Lehecka late last night. That match went all the way but Tiafoe edged the final set tiebreak 7-5 as he produced at the key moments. He has also beaten Lorenzo Musetti and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina this week, and the American is in fine form.
As the betting suggests, there is little to choose between these two but we just favour the narrow underdog Tiafoe. He is in fine form and when it gets into a slugfest and the players are pushed to the limit, we fancy Tiafoe to come out on top in a match that could potentially go all three sets once again.
