HUBERT HURKACZ VS ALEXANDER ZVEREV PREDICTION
Hubert Hurkacz is yet to drop a set in this year’s Halle Open, although the 2022 champion has certainly been tested having won tie-breaks in all three of his matches, most recently against Marcos Giron in Friday's quarter-final.
That is in contrast to Alexander Zverev’s progress. The German – twice a runner-up at this event – has contested two three-setters on his way to the semis, and has twice had to come from a set behind to prevail. His resolve has been strong though, especially as this is the 27-year-old’s first tournament since his heartbreaking deciding-set defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the recent French Open.
Hurkacz, an all-court player by all accounts, has just looked that little more assured in Halle having transitioned to the grass seamlessly. We’re favouring the Pole to emerge victorious here, but certainly not without a battle, and it would be no surprise to see this one go to a deciding set.
HUBERT HURKACZ VS ALEXANDER ZVEREV TIP: TOTAL SETS – 3
