HOLGER RUNE VS THIAGO SEYBOTH WILD PREDICTION
Dane Holger Rune was in dominant form in the first round dropping just nine games in a straight sets win over Kwon Soon-woo. He blasted 16 aces and had a stunning 95% win percentage on his first serve to ease to victory. He dominated on return also and had he stepped it up further, it could have been an even more comprehensive victory.
He now faces Thiago Seyboth Wild who was involved in a protracted five-set thriller against Brit Paul Jubb in what was something of a game of two halves. Jubb was dominant throughout and looked on course to win in three sets. A couple of key moments went the way of the Brazilian including one incredibly close line call and that just seemed to swing the match his way. Wild grew in confidence and the momentum firmly swung his way as he went on to claim the victory.
This task against Rune represents a major step up in quality however and Rune will not be as forgiving in any facets of the game. Rune should have far too much all-round quality and will not let Wild off the hook unless he seriously raises his game. Expect a comfortable win for Rune in straight sets.
