THE PREDICTION

In-form Holger Rune will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 22nd after making it seven wins on the spin with a straight-sets victory over Ugo Humbert on Thursday. The Dane claimed his second ATP title at the Stockholm Open last weekend, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas for the second time this season after stunning the Greek in the round of 16 at Roland-Garros. World number 51 Arthur Rinderknech should not be underestimated here, though, after the Frenchman stunned fourth-seed Marin Cilic in three sets in the first round and backed that up with an assured victory over Alex Molcan. The 27-year-old looks to have rediscovered his best form on tour just in time to entertain home fans at next week’s Paris Masters but this should be a step too far against Rune, who has taken out four top 30 opponents in his seven-match winning streak. Back the teenager to come through outright here.
