GABRIEL DIALLO VS ALEJANDRO TABILO PREDICTION
Canadian 23-year-old Gabriel Diallo will be looking to regain his form from around the US Open when he was playing some really good tennis. He did well to qualify for that and then go as far as the third round, and it was no surprise after some strong performances on the Challenger Tour prior to that.
Since then, his form has dipped a little but he has lost to some decent players in fairness. He did well in reaching the semis in Hangzhou last week and now in Almaty, he is doing well once again.
He has been Christopher O’Connell and Borna Coric in straight sets to reach the quarters and now he faces a tough opponent in Alejandro Tabilo.
The Chilean second seed eased past Maximilian Marterer on Wednesday in his round of 16 match and he will have to be fully focused for this clash with Diallo. Tabilo has arguably dropped off himself also but he too has lost to some quality opponents in his last few tournaments like Tommy Paul and Holger Rune.
Tabilo should have too much savvy and quality for Diallo. The cultured left-hander will likely be too good for Diallo and we expect him to progress.
