Francisco Comesana is coming off one of the biggest wins of his career as the 23-year-old Argentina came back from a set down to beat Ugo Humbert 5-7 6-4 6-4 6-4. Comesana should great grit and determination in that match to win and he was a massive underdog prior to it also. He will relish this match also, where he is an even greater underdog.

Taylor Fritz had a tough-looking second round match on paper against Matteo Berrettini but he made it look routine as he romped to a straight sets victory on Wednesday night. He relishes the big matches and he will be in the spotlight in front of his home fans once again.

Comesana’s upset of Humbert will ensure Fritz does not underestimate the Argentine. One also wonders whether Comesana has something of an emotional come down after that match and whether he can lift himself so soon afterwards.
