FRANCES TIAFOE VS ALEKSANDAR VUKIC PREDICTION
Frances Tiafoe has just had a little dip following his magnificent run to the semi-finals of the US Open but he will be looking to regain some form in Almaty this week.
He overcame Dan Evans in his first match in the round of 16 in what was a really close and hard-fought three-setter. He lost the first set 6-7 but then came back to win sets two and three 7-6 6-3.
He now faces Aleksandar Vukic who he has met once before on the Challenger Tour back in 2020. Tiafoe won that match in three sets and he will be aiming to get another win here.
Vukic has won both his matches in straight sets to reach this stage as he beat compatriot James Duckworth and then Adrian Mannarino. He will be confident in his form coming into this match and that will make for a good competitive match.
This is one that could easily go either way and despite Tiafoe being top seed in Almaty this week, he is far from being a lock in this one. Vukic is more than capable of pushing him all the way and we can fully envisage this going to three sets. Our preference here is on total games and over 21.5 is our pick.
