FLAVIO COBOLLI VS TOMMY PAUL PREDICTION
Tommy Paul kicks off the Cincinnati Open with a tough match against Flavio Cobolli and the 27-year-old American will be hoping to get back to form after being knocked out of the Canadian Open in the second round. His form prior to that has been really strong so he will be put that defeat to Nakashima aside and look to bounce back this week.
Paul does not have a great record in Cincinnati but he does on hard courts and he will look to that for inspiration this week. He meets 22-year-old Italian Flavio Cobolli who reached the Citi Open final just over ten days ago before losing to Sebastian Corda in that match.
Cobolli will be desperate to string another good week together here and he too will look to bounce back from a second round loss in the Canadian last week. He went down to Arthur Rinderknech but his form from the previous week in Washington will give him confidence.
It is however quite up in quality for Cobolli and you get the sense that Paul will not allow the same thing to happen this week as it did last. He will be laser focused from the first game and expect Paul to progress to second round.
