FLAVIO COBOLLI VS ALEJANDRO DAVIDOVICH FOKINA PREDICTION

Flavio Cobolli comes into this ATP 500 event in Vienna having had some rest as he did not play in any of the tournaments last week. The Italian was eliminated in the second round in Shanghai by Novak Djokovic and has not played since so he should be well rested coming into this one.

He comes into this opening match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina who he has already beaten once this year in their only previous encounter. Cobolli won the match 1-6 7-6 7-6 in what was a really hard-fought affair.

Davidovich Fokina played in Stockholm last week following Shanghai and he got through one round before losing to veteran Stan Wawrinka. He has reached the second round in his last three events but that is as far as he has gone.

That may be a tough ask here as Cobolli will provide a tough test for him. The Italian has a win against him and he should be fresh after some valuable rest. We favour Cobolli to get the win and over 21.5 games also.
