This is a tough call with former world number eight Diego Schwartzman in such poor form. The current world number 38 takes a five-match losing streak into the first round at Indian Wells after failing to win a match across four tournaments on the South American clay swing, usually the Argentine’s bread and butter, and he has lost 11 of his last 12 matches on tour stretching back to the third round of the US Open. World number 64 Federico Coria reached a maiden ATP final at the Cordoba Open last month but has not won a match since and he tends to struggle on hardcourts, particularly after spending time on his favoured surface. This is, surprisingly, the first meeting on tour between 30 year old Argentines but they will know plenty about each other’s games. Leave this match out of an accumulator given Schwartzman’s struggles but otherwise consider backing him to edge this outright for a much, much-needed win.
