DARIA KASATKINA VS MIRRA ANDREEVA PREDICTION
Daria Kasatkina has enjoyed a fantastic week in China and the fifth seed will be confident of going all the way now. The 27-year-old overcame Paula Badosa against the odds in the semi and while her Spanish opponent had to retire after the first set, Kasatkina was one set up at that time. She has beaten some good players this week like Yulia Putintseva and she will be desperate to win here second WTA Tour title of the year.
She meets 17-year-old prodigy Mirra Andreeva and the youngster is equally playing some great tennis right now and has been for some time. She had a similar semi-final where she had gone a set up and then Karolina Muchova withdrew. Andreeva has impressed all week and the wins over Barbora Krejcikova and then Muchova are real statements.
The pair have never met before but it should make for a really interesting match. Kasatkina has showed great character and determination all week and we like the fact she has experience on her side. Andreeva has shown a little vulnerability in some key matches of late when the pressure has seemed to get to her.
That said, she has been pushing close in some big tournaments of late and it would be no surprise if she gets over the line in Ningbo. There could be plenty of swings in this match, but we just edge the level of her play in this one.
