DANIELLE COLLINS VS CAROLINE DOLEHIDE PREDICTION
Caroline Dolehide is best known for her ability when it comes to doubles, having boasted two semi-final appearances at the US Open in that format, not to mention reaching the semi-finals in each of the last two Grand Slam events. However, Flushing Meadows has not been kind to Dolehide in the singles format with the 25-year-old having yet to win a first-round match in four attempts. Danielle Collins meanwhile, made it to the women’s singles fourth round in 2022, as she did most recently at Wimbledon.
Collins has previous when it comes to winning against a fellow American in the first round, knocking out Naomi Osaka at this stage two years ago and her singles game is ultimately superior to that of Dolehide. Provided she shows no complacency, Collins is expected to come through this one fairly comfortably.
