DANIEL EVANS VS KAREN KHACHANOV PREDICTION
Dan Evans returns to the US Open where he reached the fourth round back in 2021 - his joint best ever finish in a Grand Slam event.
Much has changed since then however and Evans focus on recent times has been more on the doubles with Andy Murray so reverting to singles may be a challenge for him.
He meets Karen Khachanov who is talented if a little one-dimensional at times. The 23rd seed is playing reasonably well even if the results have not always shown it and he will be confident ahead of this one.
Evans seems to be winding down a bit now and it is hard to see how he keeps up with Khachanov. Expect the Russian to win in three or four sets
