World number 71 Jordan Thompson avenged a recent defeat to Adrian Mannarino at the Hall of Fame Open on grass, a surface that has been kind to him this summer, backing up a strong three-set victory over the returning Kevin Anderson. The Aussie has been a consistent threat over the summer but Eubanks’ current form should be too hot to handle in this first encounter.
