CHLOE PAQUET VS HARRIET DART PREDICTION
There have been a lot of firsts for Chloe Paquet of late. The 30-year-old broke into the top 100 for the first time in her career recently, and this will be the first time she has ever featured in the main draw at the US Open. A run to the third round at this year’s French Open is her best performance at a Grand Slam, while she made it to the semi-final of a WTA 250 event in July, so her game is clearly in good shape ahead of this contest.
The same can be said of Harriet Dart though, who this year featured in a WTA semi-final for the first time when she made the last four in February’s Transylvania Open. The Brit reached the third round at Wimbledon last month and she has the edge over Paquet when it comes to their head-to-head tally having won all three of their previous meetings.
The pair actually met in qualifying for this event last year, in what was the second time Dart has prevailed in three sets over her opponent. They are clearly well-matched, but Dart is favoured to win another close contest.
