CARLOS ALCARAZ VS UGO HUMBERT PREDICTION
Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz had to show his mental against Frances Tiafoe in the last round as he struggled for long spells of that centre court match against the American. He did pull through in five sets but his performance was not the best. With the business end of the tournament to come, Alcaraz will know he will need to raise his game for the week ahead including this match.
He meets Frenchman Ugo Humbert who beat Brandon Nakashima in four sets on Friday. There was little between the two players but Humbert won the key moments and just had the edge on serve firing down 25 aces. He will need to produce more magic with his serve if he is to trouble Alcaraz here.
Ultimately, Alcaraz should have too much quality for Humbert. I would fully expect to see him raise his game here to avoid being dragged into a dog fight as Tiafoe managed to do. It will not be easy against Humbert but the wake-up call from the Tiafoe match will ensure Alcaraz this the ground running and wins this one in four.
