World number 28 Dan Evans came back from a set down to beat Botic van de Zandschulp in four on Thursday for an impressive result in these conditions but this looks several leagues too steep a climb. The 33-year-old produced the best tennis of his career to stun the field this time last month in Washington, lifting his second ATP title, but Alcaraz has too many weapons to be troubled by the Brit’s disruptive game. Alcaraz has won both of their previous meetings in comfortable straight sets and he can be backed to do so again here.
