BRANDON NAKASHIMA VS ARTHUR FILS PREDICTION
Two of the top young talents on the ATP Tour meet in the second round as Brandon Nakashima faces Arthur Fils. The pair have met twice before with each winning a match apiece last year.
Fils is the man who has risen up the rankings and played the better tennis in recent months. He dominated Brandon Holt in the first round but that was expected and now he will challenge Nakashima.
Nakashima is on a high after beating 11th seed Taylor Fritz in the first round in three sets. The 23-year-old never seemed phased even when Fritz levelled things up. He enjoyed a good week in Montreal last week losing to Rublev in the round of 16 but he made it through qualifying as well as beating Denis Shapovalov and then Tommy Paul.
On hard courts, we just about edge Nakashima to win this but there really is little to divide the two players.
