BRANDON NAKASHIMA VS ANDREY RUBLEV PREDICTION
Brandon Nakashima will be delighted with his time in Cincinnati so far having beaten Taylor Fritz in three sets in the first round and then edging past Arthur Fils 7-5 7-6. The 23-year-old’s serve is looking good and he will be hoping to at least replicate the 15 aces he has fired down in both of his matches so far.
He meets an in-form Andrey Rublev who is enjoying a second consecutive strong week on the Tour. After finishing runner-up in Montreal last week, Rublev eased past Zhizhen Zhang in his opening match and will be confident coming into this clash with Nakashima.
The pair have met three times with Rublev winning twice, but his confidence will come from their meeting last week in Canada where the Russian comprehensively outplayed Nakashima 6-2 6-2. It will be hard to Nakashima to reverse that on the same surface just one week later and we expect Rublev to progress once again.
