BORNA CORIC VS FELIPE MELIGENI ALVES PREDICTION
Neither of these two players have much pedigree on grass and certainly not at Wimbledon. Felipe Meligeni Alves has qualified for the very first time while Borna Coric has only ever reached the second round and that came back in 2015. With that in mind, this match has all the hallmarks as a relatively close and competitive matchup.
Coric has struggled badly with injuries in recent years and has yet to return to his best. He played at Wimbledon in 2023 losing in the first round but was absent in the previous four years and this event is clearly not one he relishes.
Meligeni Alves could well have the edge in motivation as he will be fired up on his debut. The Brazilian also made his debut at Roland Garros and he will be buoyed just to be participating. He should fancy his chances and while it is Coric who comes in as favourite, there is very little to like about the Croatian. The preference is with the Brazilian coming into this one and that is where the value lies.
