BEN SHELTON VS PAUL JUBB PREDICTION
The top seed at the 2024 Mallorca Championship, Ben Shelton, will be fired up to go far in the tournament if not win it this week and he will be confident of beating Paul Jubb here. Shelton received a bye in the first round so only played his first game on Wednesday as he eased past Rinky Hijikata 6-4 6-0. The quick turnaround will not phase him and he may actually benefit from it as the duo are scheduled third on court.
Jubb, a 24-year-old Brit, has had a completely different route to the quarter-finals having beating Thiago Monteiro in a qualifier on Sunday, Maximilian Marterer on Tuesday in the round of 32, then Adam Walton on Wednesday in the round of 16. All three wins have come in straight sets so he has not had overly much time on the court, but it has been a busy week for Jubb. This match will likely be a step too far for him however and expect Shelton to showcase his quality and get a straight sets win.
