ANDREY RUBLEV VS ALEJANDRO TABILO PREDICTION
Andrey Rublev came through his first-round match against Nuno Borges with relative ease as he beat the Portuguese number one 6-3 6-2. That will give the Russian some confidence as he now meets Alejandro Tabilo in the round of 16.
Despite the pair both being 27-year-old and turning professional at similar times, they have never met before so that makes this clash somewhat novel.
Tabilo came through his opening match winning two tiebreaks against veteran Marin Cilic on Tuesday. It could have been more comprehensive had he been more clinical with the break points he generated. Cilic took both of his break points while Tabilo only took two of the nine he created.
He will not be able to be so wasteful against Rublev however and the Russian looked particularly sharp in his opening match. That leads us to favour Rublev here to progress to the quarters.
