ALEXANDER ZVEREV VS PABLO CARRENO BUSTA PREDICTION

Alexander Zverev got his Cincinnati campaign under way on Thursday and he looked exceptionally strong in the 6-3 6-2 win over Karen Khachanov. While the Russian was no pushover, Zverev had the edge in all areas and fully deserved the win while possessing more in the tank.

If Zverev can maintain this, he will be in contention for the title this week. He now faces Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta who is getting better with every game as he bids to work his way back up the rankings following a lengthy spell on the sideline with injury.

Carreno Busta has beaten Sebastian Korda and then Max Purcell in straights sets but this presents a much stiffer test for him.

Combined with their preparations and recent form, Carreno Busta has lost to Zverev in all three previous meetings and he wasn’t coming off a substantial amount of time out in any of those. Zverev will be sharper in all facets once again and should dominate in straight sets here.
