THE PREDICTION

World number five Alexander Zverev handily beat Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets on Saturday to get a solid start to what should be a deep run at the Miami Open. The 26-year-old has yet to win a title across the Sunshine Double but he has five Masters titles amidst his 21 career accolades and two ATP Finals titles after most recently winning the year-end championships in 2021. World number 32 Christopher Eubanks battles through a tough encounter with Dan Evans to blow off some cobwebs from his only recently blossoming game. The 27-year-old reached the quarter-finals here last season with a shock run that propelled him towards the top 30 over last summer but he has struggled to gain any sort of rhythm since returning to hardcourts in August. Zverev beat the American in straight sets at the Geneva Open on clay, Eubanks’ worst surface by far, but he should have enough to emulate that result here despite Eubanks’ affinity for Miami. Back Zverev to win in two.

TIP: ALEXANDER ZVEREV TO WIN 2-0
