ALEX BOLT VS MARCOS GIRON PREDICTION
Alex Bolt did well at Wimbledon reaching the first round after going through the qualifiers and his grass form has continued this week in Rhode Island. The 31-year-old Australian has had two good wins against Jakub Mensik and then Brandon Nakashima but now he faces a tough test in Giron.
The 30-year-old American leads the head-to-head between the two players having won two of their three previous meetings although they did come back in 2014 and 2015. It is Giron though who has enjoyed the better career since those meetings on the Challenger Tour and he will be confident here. He came close to winning his first ever ATP Tour final back in February losing to Tommy Paul in three sets but he will be fired up to go far once again this week. Giron should have the edge in quality to get the win here.
