ADRIAN MANNARINO VS DANIIL MEDVEDEV PREDICTION
Adrian Mannarino celebrated an impressive milestone in the first round as he came from one set down, to beat Lorenzo Sonego to advance to the round of 16. That victory was his 300th on the ATP tour and represents a huge milestone in the veteran’s career.
The 36-year-old Frenchman now faces Russian Daniel Medvedev in the round of 16. Medvedev beat Gael Monfils in straight sets and he will take some confidence from that after a disappointing Laver Cup which saw him lose both his singles matches.
The pair have played each other on seven occasions with Mannarino leading the head-to-head with four victories. It is important to note that Medvedev has won three of the last four however and that will give him the confidence coming into this one.
It is not beyond the realms that Mannarino takes a set if Medvedev’s focus wanes, but the Russian should surely have too much firepower for the veteran Frenchman in this one.
