THE PREDICTION
It is clear that 19-year-old Lorenzo Musetti is a big game player who is motivated by these kinds of matches and so the Italian has worked incredibly hard to reach the round of 16 of a Grand Slam on debut and face world number one Novak Djokovic for the first time. Musetti has got past three tough foes in David Goffin, Yoshihito Nishioka and, via a five-set thriller on Saturday, Marco Cecchinato but this will be his hardest test ever. 34-year-old Djokovic turned professional when Musetti was one years old and is chasing a 19th Grand Slam title this week in Paris where so far he has stormed through three rounds without dropping a set. The romantic option here for neutrals would be for Musetti to be the first player to take one off the Serb this campaign and he is certainly the toughest foe yet for Djokovic but it seems likelier that Djokovic will be in a statement-making mood here. Taking the Serb to win outright is the wise, safe choice here but you could take Musetti to win at least a set or Djokovic in straight sets for fairly unlikely, more valuable options.
