THE PREDICTION

17-year-old Coco Gauff is playing well beyond her years and made her first quarter-final at a Grand Slam via an incredible, ruthless straight-sets win over in-form Ons Jabeur. The American teenager looks set to break the top 10 by the end of the Summer, if not before, at this rate and she has a big chance at reaching this Roland-Garros final if she continues in this form. In Gauff’s way is one of the most form players left in the draw in Barbora Krejcikova, who dismantled Sloane Stephens on Monday to extend her winning streak to nine matches. The 25-year-old Czech will take some stopping in this first meeting but the crowd, if they are present, will be sure to do their utmost to bring Gauff over the line in at least one set. Take the American to win at least one set here as the favourite but Krejcikova is well capable of upsetting those odds in this one.
