If Adrian Mannarino can get over the quick turnaround hump of losing in the Paris Masters round of 16 last week, to eventual runner-up Alexander Zverev, he could be a real force of nature in Sofia. The Frenchman came so close to beating Zverev for the first time after three matches with the world number 7 in close succession since the restart of the tennis season and he looks set to reach at least the quarter-finals here if he can play to the same level. Mannarino will face lucky loser Martin Klizan for the first time who has been in some middling form on the Challenger circuit recently. Mannarino should enjoy being the fifth seed here and can come through this match in straight-sets.
