Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Matteo Berrettini Prediction

Stefanos Tsitsipas claimed an excellent win over Karen Khachanov in the round of 16 and there are some positives signs for the Greek star that he is edging his way back to his best.

Just when it looked like Khachanov may be grabbing control of the match when he levelled things up at one set apiece, Tsitsipas dug in and won the last set 6-4 to progress to the quarters.

He now takes on Matteo Berrettini and he has a good record against the Italian having won three of the last four meetings but it was Berrettini who won the last encounter last year.

Berrettini is flying with confidence right now and he blasted past Christopher O’Connell in the round of 16 with 15 aces and 89% and 82% win percentages on first and second serve respectively.

After beating Novak Djokovic in Doha last week, Berrettini’s confidence is notably rising and he will fancy his chances of upsetting the seeded player here. The fact he is the marginal favourite speaks volumes and we have to favour him to get the win here.
