THE PREDICTION
Sale Sharks have yet to fully convince this season after an exciting 20-19 scrape-through win at home to Bath on the opening weekend of the season was followed by a 31-31 draw away at a spirited London Irish. Form should bear little influence on this match though as the Sharks smell the blood of travelling Exeter Chiefs, who are wounded animals following two defeats from two away at Leicester Tigers and, shockingly, 24-26 at home to Northampton Saints last Saturday. The visitors are still slight favourites to win here on prestige but taking Sale to edge another home win with a +2 head-start looks a shrewd move with Rob Baxter’s former champions looking a little shot of confidence right now.
