THE PREDICTION
Northampton Saints may have felt a little forgotten about at the start of the season in the conversation for title contenders but they have responded in the best way possible with two wins from two. They will have expected to beat Gloucester on the opening day of the season but to leave Sandy Park the winners in a 24-26 smash and grab at Exeter Chiefs is mightily impressive, no matter which players are available. They will be confident of making it three in a row at home to London Irish, who lost their first match away to Worcester Warriors before earning an impressive point at home to Sale Sharks last Sunday. The Exiles will expect to do their best work at home this campaign as they id last year, with the Saints well capable of covering -8 here.
