THE PREDICTION
Northampton Saints face a tough battle to reach the play-offs this season after a second-successive defeat, 21-22 at home to Sale Sharks, was their eighth out of their last 10 matches across all competitions. They have lost each of their last four matches at home, with their last victory here coming at home to rock-bottom Bath back in early December, and travelling Exeter Chiefs will be smelling blood after beating Newcastle Falcons on the road last Saturday. The visitors have strung two Premiership wins together for the first time since New Year’s Day but giving them a +2 head-start to edge past their hosts looks a decent option here given the Saints’ recent woes.
