THE PREDICTION

London Irish have been well in most of their games so far this season but they have little to show for it with just one draw at home to Sale and a consolation bonus point from each of their matches. They have lost their last two closely and competitively, by two points at Northampton and, agonisingly, from a winning position at home to Leicester Tigers last weekend. Gloucester find themselves on the other side of that coin right now after a thrilling 33-32 victory at home to Sale last Saturday backed up their first win of the season at Worcester. This could prove to be the match of the weekend if both sides bring their best and picking it to sail over 40 points looks a useful alternative to trying to side with a winner.
