THE PREDICTION

Gloucester claimed their first win of the new Premiership season with a convincing 23-31 result away at Worcester Warriors last Saturday. The conditions contributed to a fairly sloppy game last week but points on the board will give them a big boost ahead of this tough but potentially winnable fixture at home to Sale, who lost 15-25 at home to Exeter Chiefs last Sunday. Sale went down to 14 men in that match against Exeter in and their previous 31-31 draw away at London Irish means they have yet to convince at home or on the road this campaign. This could be very close indeed but backing hosts Gloucester to build on their strong performance against Leicester and win over Worcester with a +3 head-start could be a shrewd move here.
