THE PREDICTION

Exeter Chiefs will be looking for a statement win at home to Northampton Saints here after a 34-19 defeat away at an impressive Leicester Tigers last Saturday. A second-half fight back came too late from last season’s runners-up but head coach Rob Baxter will limit panic as he did so well in their brief spells of poor form last year. Travelling Northampton Saints beat Gloucester 34-20 at home last week for a good start to the new season, although their actual play looked fairly rusty and they will be hoping for my cohesion one week on. Exeter look set to be part of a gripping contest at the top of the Premiership and they should be able to get things going by covering -7 in front of their own fans.
