THE PREDICTION
Sale Sharks overpowered the Pro14’s Scarlets in their first Champions Cup outing but lost in the quarter-finals to a rampant La Rochelle side last Saturday. Despite that disappointment Sale are playing well in their matches and have a five-match winning streak to protect in the Premiership as they start this weekend’s fixtures in third place. They host a Gloucester side who were knocked out of the Champions Cup by La Rochelle at the first time of asking, so the visitors will at least have an extra week’s rest on Sale here. Nevertheless, Gloucester are struggling in the Premiership and despite a shock win over Exeter Chiefs last time out in the league they should be second best here. Take the hosts to cover -9 and heap pressure on the Chiefs.
