THE PREDICTION
Since losing to La Rochelle in the Champions Cup quarter-finals Sale Sharks have gone on a rampant run of late-season form in the Premiership, winning each of their last four games. 12 points separates the hosts here with visiting leaders Bristol Bears, who arrive off the back of a thumping 39-7 win at home to Gloucester on Monday that leaves them within one win of securing first place ahead of the play-offs. Sale’s form makes this a terribly tough result to call and Bristol would not be the first champions to stutter at the second-to-last hurdle if they lost on Friday night. It could be worth leaving this one alone as it could come down to the solitary point but take the away side to just scrape through what should be a thoroughly enjoyable match. Alternatively, take this to see over 40 points and leave it there.
