THE PREDICTION

Two of the three teams to have lost in the opening round of fixtures without securing a bonus point will now face off with immediate redemption in their sights. Harlequins, especially, need to show big signs of improvement here after a penalty saved them from a whitewash against the defending champions Exeter Chiefs. The hosts here Northampton were close in their pursuit of the bonus against a spirited Sale and they will be the peppier of the two sides with the slightest of home advantages. Considering both sides’ early fortunes this match does not promise a crickets score and Northampton Saints to shade a tight encounter that goes under 40 points seems a good option.
