THE PREDICTION

Newcastle Falcons have lost their last eight games in a row over all competitions and simply cannot wait for the season to end with no relegation to fight this year. They started well away at Gloucester last time out but eventually fell to defeat and it is difficult to see them righting that record here against travelling London Irish. The Exiles have had a couple of weeks off with the European break and are in no great shape themselves, especially on the road having won just one away game in 2021 so with neither side here bringing confidence to the pitch this looks a difficult call. This is not a match for an accumulator but given London Irish have a pretty poor record on the road take Newcastle to edge a likely tense affair here.
