THE PREDICTION

Newcastle Falcons stayed in fourth place of the Premiership despite losing 31-22 away to London Irish last time out and just four points separate themselves and Exeter Chiefs in second place. The reigning champions got back to winning ways away to Worcester on Saturday but they were pushed all the way there and will be hoping for better in this second successive test on the road. However, the loss of international stars is likely to hit Exeter more than most in this league and Newcastle Falcons could sense a real opportunity here. The Falcons at their best could have beaten the performance that Exeter put in last time out and picking a home win against the odds here, especially with the unrest due to team availability, could be a shrewd call indeed.
