THE PREDICTION

London Irish backed-up a good 27-27 draw away to Harlequins with an emphatic fight back at home to in-form Newcastle Falcons on Sunday, beating the promoted side 31-22 at home. They should be able to utilise that winning feeling well here in a second successive home game, this time against bottom-of-the-league Gloucester. They came so close to beating Northampton at home on Saturday in a 26-31 defeat but they have just two wins this season, one in the league and one in the cup, to show for their efforts. This match could be quite tight as a result given that Gloucester came so close last week but London Irish’s feel-good factor at home should see them over the line in a match that goes just over 40 points.
