THE PREDICTION

Gloucester failed to beat 14-man Sale last Saturday in a 25-22 loss and will be eager for this season to end now as they sit second-from-bottom with no threat of relegation this year. Oddly enough they have picked up two of their four wins this season against the likes of Exeter Chiefs and Wasps in recent weeks, though, and they have a decent chance at claiming a third win in six league games when Newcastle Falcons visit. The Falcons have lost five Premiership matches in a row now and only just beat Ospreys in the Challenge Cup to register their only win in seven across all competitions and that sort of form suggests Gloucester can leapfrog them into 10th here. The hosts have played well in defeats of late but should be able to cover -5 here in victory.
