THE PREDICTION

Both Bath and Leicester won their two Challenge Cup fixtures over the last fortnight to reach the semi-finals, with this next Premiership encounter a possible benchmark for the final. Bath drew the longest straw to beat Zebre and London Irish whilst Leicester overcame tougher challenges in Connacht and Newcastle Falcons and their impressive exploits in Europe might have an impact on how they play away here. The Tigers had been going strong in the Premiership before the break to sit in mid-table before this weekend’s fixture, just one point above their hosts here. Bath have been a difficult side to pin down form-wise, intermittent at best with two wins and two defeats in March, but their home form has been questionable at times this season. They will be favourite to win this match but it could be worth opting for the away side to continue their strong performances and just edge this match like they did in the reverse fixture to beat Bath 36-31 at home.
