THE PREDICTION

Bath stormed to a 24-10 first-half lead away at in-form Sale and clung on to win a first Premiership match this year and break a seven-math winless run over all competitions. They were a team in desperate need of a performance just like that and this spells trouble for Gloucester, who did well to hold the leaders to a tight result last time out but are still with just one win all season. Playing well and losing seems to be Gloucester’s new remit and whilst they could be getting closer to some points they are likely too late to make the most of their hosts’ previous poor form. Bath to carry the momentum through to cover -6 here looks a reasonable outcome.
