THE PREDICTION

It is a shame for Wasps that their 11 positive tests for covid-19 may harm their chances at Twickenham after the blistering way they have concluded this season and Lee Blackett’s suggestion that at least four would have probably been in the matchday squad. Wasps have been emphatic in their matches since the restart of the season and have lost just once, to Sale back in August. However, they face an Exeter Chiefs side that seem bound for glory and Wasps’ selection issues should only strengthen Exeter’s resolve. They come into this match fully-loaded and with the momentum of a Champions Cup victory behind them after last Saturday’s impressive display against Racing 92. The word “dynasty” is being thrown around this Exeter side and they can make a statement win here in a final that collectively should go well north of 40 points.
