THE PREDICTION

Top 14 leaders La Rochelle did indeed fall foul of France’s in-form side Lyon last time out but they were close in a 22-18 defeat on the road and they should fare much better in this second successive away match. Edinburgh are struggling to get any sort of rhythm in the Pro14 and have suffered back-to-back thrashings from the elite Irish sides Leinster and Ulster to heap the pressure on this Champions Cup tie. Whilst they should be able to count on some of their returning international stars, and indeed the return of limited spectators, their recent losses suggest they will not be able to outscore their visitors. La Rochelle can hope to cover -5 here at least to make a statement for the tournament.
